본 연구는 보육교사 경험을 가진 M, Z세대 어머니 4명이 자신의 자녀를 양육하는 과정에서 겪은 경험과 그 과정 속에서 직면한 도전 과제를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 질적연구로 이루어졌으며, 비구조화된 개인 면담과 집단 면담을 통해 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집된 데이터는 주제별 약호화 과정을 통해 주제어와 소주제어를 선정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, M, Z 세대 영아 어머니들은 발달 및 보육에 대한 높은 이해도를 바탕으로 자신감 있게 자녀를 양육하며, 영아 놀이의 중요성을 강조하였다. 둘째, 이들은 삶의 균형을 유지하면서 자기 계발과 실천을 중시하였다. 자기 돌봄과 스트레스 관리를 위해 효율적인 방법을 활용하고, 지속적인 전문가로의 성장을 위해 능동적으로 행동하였다. 셋째, M, Z 세대 영아 어머니들은 현실적인 양육서비스 제공을 기대하였다. 본 연구는 보육교사로서 영유아 발달과 교육에 대한 전문 지식을 가진 M, Z 세대 영아 어머니들이 이러한 전문성을 자녀 양육에 어떻게 활용하는지, 동시에 자녀양육 경험이 보육교사로서 역할 수행에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 탐색했다는 점에서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있다.

This study explores the experiences of and challenged faced by four mothers from Generations M and Z, who had experience as childcare teachers, in raising their children. Adopting a qualitative design, data were collected through unstructured individual and group interviews, and coded by theme to identify the key topics and subthemes. The results reveal that, first, mothers from Generations M and Z raised their children with confidence based on their deep understanding of child development and childcare, and emphasized the importance of infant play. Second, they prioritized self-development and practical applications while maintaining a balance in life. They adopted effective methods for self-care and stress management, and actively engaged in continuous professional growth. Third, they expected practical and realistic childcare services. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into how these mothers, as childcare teachers with specialized knowledge of infant and toddler development and education, apply their expertise in raising their own children. Finally, it reveals how their childcare experiences influence their professional roles as childcare teachers.
