본 연구는 「淸, The Blue 바다를 열다」에 나타난 코러스 활용방법을 들뢰즈의 예술론을 바탕으로 분석하여, 동시대 한국 창작춤이 나아가야 할 방향성을 고찰하고자 하였다. 동시대 춤에서 간과할 수 없이 중요한 경향인 다양한 무대요소들의 해체와 결합에 주목해 삶의 척도로부터 도전과 변화의 가능성을 지닌 들뢰즈의 잠재적 시각이 어떻게 한국 창작춤에서 발현되는지 알아보고자 했다. 특히 고대 그리스 비극의 중요한 특성인 코러스(chorus)의 역할이 「淸, The Blue 바다를 열다」에서는 무대요소들과 어떠한 방식으로 접속하면서 표현되는지 해석함으로써 전통과 현대의 경계선에서 끊임없이 성찰하는 한국 창작춤의 관점을 다층적인 방식으로 분산할 수 있는 가능성을 제안하였다.

Based on Deleuze’s art theory of art, this study examined the direction of Korean contemporary dance by analyzing the method of using the chorus shown in “淸, Open the Blue Sea.” Focusing on the dismantling and combination of various stage elements, which are an indispensable trend in contemporary dance, this study determined how Deleuze’s potential view of challenge and change from the measure of life is expressed in Korean contemporary dance. In particular, an important characteristic of ancient Greek tragedies, the possibility of dispersing the perspective of Korean contemporary dance, which constantly reflects on the boundary between tradition and modernity, was suggested.
